Die wichtigsten Werkzeuge bei der Treibarbeit sind Hämmer aus Holz und Metall mit ebenen und runden Flächen in verschiedenen Grössen. Da das Metall durch die Bearbeitung dicht und spröde wird, ist ein Ofen notwendig, in dem nach Bedarf die Arbeitsstücke ausgeglüht werden, wodurch das Metall wieder die nötige Dehnbarkeit erhält. Zur letzten Durcharbeitung werden kleine Meissel in den verschiedensten Formen - die Punzen - verwendet. Schliesslich wird auch die Herstellung metallplastischer Werke auf galvanischem Wege kurz zu besprechen sein. Die notwendigen technischen Angaben darüber finden sich am Schlusse des Bandes." [...]
